Celebrity Golf Event

Today’s Collision is a proud sponsor of The Greg Hill Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of local families touched by tragedy. This week, we joined Greg Hill and local Celebrities for the 20th Annual WAAF Golf Tournament Charity Event at the MGM Grand in Foxwoods. This well-attended, two-day event brought together local businesses and celebrities for a good cause. Attendees at the Pool Party were greeted by Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Jason Varitek, Shawn Thornton, Jim Corsi and comedian Lenny Clarke. Both the silent and live auctions featured coveted sports memorabilia and “once-in-a-lifetime” sports excursions including hanging courtside at a Celtics game with Boston Bruin Tyler Seguin. The after-party moved all the celebrities and guests to Shrine at MGM Grand.

We had the pleasure of having local comedian, Lenny Clarke, join our Golf Tournament Foursome (consisting of team members from Today’s Collision and Enterprise). Can you picture 18 holes with Lenny Clarke? Lots of Laughs! Our team didn’t win top prize, but we were in the running!

A Celebrity Longest Drive competition brought out the comedian in everyone. Rob Gronkowski and two of his brothers (Chris and Gordie) have set the new trend in golf attire. (Check out our photos on facebook.) Rob also seems to be trademarking the “running drive”. Why stand still when you can run up to the ball to hit it? Joining the above listed celebrities were Stephen Goskowski, Zoltan Mesko, Dan Aiken, Jay Miller, Dan Paille, Bob Sweeney and Mike Mottau. Following the Tournament, all attendees joined the celebrities for a dinner and awards ceremony at Alta Strada at MGM Grand with a performance by Brian Richard.
